I hope it was you! Sadly, I never did see who it was, but this thought popped into my head: I want that JOY! The pure, unfiltered, literally dance like nobody is watching joy. So I paused my mental gymnastics, put on some music, and danced and sang the rest of my way to the studio. It was glorious. It was the perfect end to a week that was filled with an echoing chorus of "I'm tired of being sad/frustrated/angry/disappointed at the world." In our circles and in other conversations with friends and family, I've noticed we're all feeling the heaviness - the lack of support for new parents, climate change, wars, antibiotic shortages combined with never-ending illnesses, difficult coworkers, and so much more. It can be all-consuming. We're exhausted. And tired of being tired. And - as that exuberant car dancer reminded me - we can still tap into simple joys. So as we move into the weekend, perhaps I'll see you dancing in the car, or in your living room, or finding another way to create joy in your life despite the dumpster fire of the world right now. I'd love to hear what's lighting up your life these days. As always, if you need support along the way, please reach out!
