Navigating Neurodiversity Circle
We're here to bring you true community in the midst of uncertainty, struggle and loneliness.
Parenting is challenging. When the needs and experiences of your family require adaptations or approaches outside the social norm, parenting can be even more isolating and overwhelming. The strategies and tips working for your friends may not work for your family. It may feel too hard to do small things that others take for granted. Learning more about your child’s needs may cause your own identity to start to shift. In the Navigating Neurodiversity Circle, we will find community with others on similar journeys while creating space for complex and varied experiences.

The Navigating Neurodiversity Circle is for parents with one or more neurodivergent children (e.g., autistic, ADHD, learning differences, sensory processing challenges, etc.). Wherever your family is on its neurodivergence journey—questioning, mid-assessment, self-identifying, or formally diagnosed—you are welcome. Small by design (no more than 5 participants plus facilitator), this Circle will enable participants to connect deeply with other neurodiverse families, building a strong foundation for mutual support and empowerment.
We will gather to:

The Navigating Neurodiversity Circle will be grounded in the neurodiversity paradigm, which recognizes the natural diversity of human brains and neurocognitive functioning. Understanding that each individual experience of neurodivergence is unique, we will center curiosity and compassion in our discussions. We will empower each other to tune into ourselves and our families and tune out the external “shoulds” and fears that are not serving us.
In our first session, we will introduce ourselves, share what brought us to the Circle, and gather topics that participants would like to discuss throughout the series. Each week, we will do individual check-ins and discuss topics currently being navigated or identified in the first session. Consistent with participant interest, resources may be provided for consideration before a session or as follow-up to discussion of a particular topic. If participants are interested, playground meet-ups may also be arranged.
If you are interested in the Navigating Neurodiversity Circle but are not able to join for this series, please select "future circle" and include what timing that would work best for you. If there is sufficient interest, additional circles may be formed.

Navigating Neurodiversity Circle FAQ
Who can join?
We welcome ALL parents and embrace diversity in background, sexual orientation, age, race, religion, etc. This circle is specifically for parents with one or more neurodivergent children. Circles are usually a good mix of new and veteran parents - first-time, second-time or parents with many more children are welcome.
How many people will be in my circle? What will they be like?
Each circle will have between 3-5 parents. They are looking for, and to provide, peer support for navigating issues arising in connection with parenting a neurodivergent child.
Where do we meet?
This circle will run virtually via zoom.
What do we talk about during the sessions?
In our weekly meetings everyone checks in and then we have a topic each week for discussion - the topics are decided by the group at the beginning of the session. Topics may include navigating school, behavior challenges, friendships, and more
Will I get anything out of this group if I choose to attend virtually?
Yes! You'll get to connect with other parents on a weekly basis from the comfort of your own home. We may coordinate in-person playdates if that is of interest to the group members.
What makes the Navigating Neurodiversity Circle different than other parent groups?
This circle a place for parents to connect with other parents of neurodiverse children in deep and meaningful way. In this circle the parent connection is at the center: building friendships, finding and providing support, and building our village. These groups allow parents to connect, explore our shifting identities, and truly share with others who are in it with you.
Why should I join?
Modern-day parenting is exhausting and often incredibly lonely, especially when you have a neurodivergent child. We're here to bring back essential connections, share resources, and be there for each other.
Can I drop-in to one week or start mid-session?
We don't have drop-ins - each week we get to know each other a little better and share the details of our lives and it's not conducive to have parents just come for a session or two. The positive part of this is when everyone commits to the group it creates a really wonderful and supportive place to return to.
What if I am going to miss a week? Is there a way to make-up?
Due to the session/cohort model there are no make-ups.
What if I changed my mind? Can I get a refund?
Refunds (minus a processing fee) are available up to two weeks ahead of the start date. Cancellations made between two weeks and one week before the start of the circle receive a 50% refund. No refunds are available after one week prior to the start date.
Can I give the Navigating Neurodiversity Circle as a gift?
Absolutely! It's a wonderful alternative to more "stuff." Simply contact us and we'll provide you with a personalized gift certificate.
