About Us
We're a collective
We're a collective of mothers who believe in the incredible power and intuition of pregnant people and mothers. We're here for you - from that positive pregnancy test through the sleepless nights, seemingly unrelenting toddler years, and way, way beyond. For the losses, the joys, and the challenge of holding so many emotions at the same time.
We have decades of experience in women’s health and wellness - we're birth and postpartum doulas, activists, yoga teachers, holistic health coaches, acupuncturists, mentors, and so much more.

We live by our values
We recognize that as mothers we are agents of social change and make it a priority to guide our children, families, and communities to affirm the experiences of people of all races, genders, identities, ages, religions, abilities and experiences.
We are committed to creating a diverse and welcoming community where everyone feels empowered to share their full, authentic selves. We take a holistic approach where differences are celebrated and valued.
Our community is based on non-judgemental support and is a place for everyone who identifies as a mother to be seen and heard.

We believe in the power of community
When we come together and share deeply we realize that we are not alone. We recognize that so much of our suffering is because of our culture, not because of personal deficits. Instead of constantly trying to change ourselves we can get together and we can change the system that doesn't value motherhood.
We're gathering in-person and online
We'd love to welcome you to a circle - in pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond.

Mary Louisa WiencekThroughout her professional career, Mary Louisa has dedicated herself to causes that most affect women and children. She transitioned to life as a stay at home mom when her first daughter was born and is thrilled to re-engage with work outside the home through Mama Love Collective, which fuses all of her interests: truth-telling, radical empathy, holistic health, and a commitment to unpacking the culture instead of doubting ourselves or our bodies.
Mary Louisa brings her experience as a La Leche League Leader, where she provided peer breastfeeding and motherhood support to new and seasoned families. She also knows firsthand the unique and universal challenges, joys, ebbs, and flows of the motherhood journey and finds her own joy in holding space for women as they make their passage through matrescence - the physical, emotional, hormonal and social transition to becoming a mother. Mary Louisa is an oldest daughter, a mom to three, an Enneagram 2, and a recovering cross stitch addict. She grew up in Italy and Mississippi, spent time in the Southern Lowcountry, moved to the mountains and then back to the coast. Mary Louisa shares a cozy brick home in Silver Spring with three cats, three kids and her husband, Jimmy. |
