Parents of Older Babies Circle
If you have a 4-12 month old baby, please join us for this circle where we'll connect around being the parent to an older baby (or two!) and how it affects our identities, relationships, and more. You're out of the fourth trimester (congratulations!) and starting to get into a rhythm with your little one, but still have questions about ever-changing sleep and nap times, when and how to introduce solid foods, and so much more. Not to mention wondering how to meet your own new needs as a parent. We'll dive into it all in this circle.
In this circle we'll deepen connections with each other, explore modern-day parenthood, and support each other while building confidence in ourselves as we continue to shape our identities and raise our children. The circle includes in-person meetings (with a virtual option), activities and articles in-between sessions, and additional support throughout the week.
In a different stage? We have a Pregnancy Circle, Mamas Circles for moms of newborns, and Motherhood/Parenthood Circles for parents with older children.

Parents of Older Babies Circle - FAQ
Who can join?
We welcome ALL parents and embrace diversity in background, sexual orientation, gender, age, race, religion, etc. This group is specific to parents with at least one child age 4-12 months - first-time, second-time or parents with many more children are welcome.
How many people will be in my circle? What will they be like?
Each circle will have between 5-10 parents. You're settling into parenting but still have lots of questions, want to parent with consciousness and intention, and be part of a community. Some of the parents will be on parental leave, others will be working part-time outside the home and others are full-time stay at home parents.
Where do we meet?
We are currently offering circles in-person on a well-ventilated screen porch in Silver Spring, MD. Please note, we require participants to be fully vaccinated to attend in-person circles, otherwise you can join the circle via zoom.
Can I bring my baby?
Yes! Babies are welcome in this circle. Parents can also attend on their own.
What if I need accommodations for a disability?
We strive to host circles that are inclusive, accessible spaces for all parents, including those with disabilities, to engage in. If you have an accessibility need please mention it in the registration form and we'll follow up with you directly.
What do we talk about during the sessions?
In our weekly meetings everyone checks in and then we have a topic each week for discussion - the topics are decided by the group at the beginning of the session. Previous topics have included everything from body image to grandparent relationships, parenting styles, the mental load, and so much more.
What makes the Parenthood Circle different from other groups?
Parenthood Circles are truly community-inspired! Parents and older babies are invited to come together on a weekly basis, with a focus on finding and providing support, building friendships, and building our village. These groups allow parents to connect, explore our shifting identities, go deeper into how to navigate the changing relationships in our lives, and truly share with others who are in it with you.
Why should I join?
Modern-day parenting is exhausting and often lonely. We're here to bring back essential connections, talk about our under-valued role in society, and really be there for each other.
Can I drop-in to one week or start mid-session?
We don't have drop-ins - each week we get to know each other a little better and share the details of our lives and it's not conducive to have parents just come for a meeting or two. The positive part of this is when everyone commits to the group it creates a really wonderful and supportive place to return to.
What if I am going to miss a week? Is there a way to make-up?
Due to the session/cohort model there are no make-ups.
What if I changed my mind? Can I get a refund?
Refunds (minus a processing fee) are available up to two weeks ahead of the start date. Cancellations made between two weeks and one week before the start of the circle receive a 50% refund. No refunds are available after one week prior to the start date.
Can I give the Parenthood Circle as a gift?
Absolutely! It's a wonderful alternative to more "stuff." Simply contact us and we'll provide you with a personalized gift certificate.
